FEDERAL WORKERS' ACHES AND PAINS All aches and pains could be compensable injuries. If your job caused an aggravation to your condition, then they are compensable. Example: If a federal worker is injured off the job in an auto accident, and if upon returning to work the job aggravates the off-the job injuries, those injuries are compensable. Another example: If a federal worker gets degenerative disk disease, this can be compensable, if the job aggravates this condition. The following are a list of diseases that could be compensable if aggravated by what one does at work:
Where a person has a pre-existing condition, which is not disabling, but which becomes disabling because of aggravation causally related to the employment, then regardless of the degree of such aggravation, the resulting disability is compensable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- F.W.C.C.
